Three Mile Bridge Collapse

An entire section of the Three Mile Bridge (Pensacola Bay Bridge) collapsed while Hurricane Sally passed through early Wednesday morning. Three Mille Bridge crosses Pensacola Bay connecting Gulf Breeze to Pensacola via Route 98.

 Sen. Doug Broxson is expected to release a damage report with Santa Rosa County Emergency Management by tonight.

 We can find no information connecting the bridge failure to the construction barge that struck the bridge just before 9 a.m. on Tuesday, which prompted authorities to close the bridge.
