Independence Day is almost here, and the Emerald Coast is bringing the heat with this national holiday! As we celebrate with family and friends, may we remember the true reason for this historical holiday—to commemorate the passage of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776. Here is a list of ideas for you and the whole family to enjoy this Fourth of July.

Red, White, and Baytowne

The Village of Baytowne Wharf will have a spectacular Red, White, and Baytowne celebration! Enjoy LIVE music from the Trest Richardson Band on the Events Plaza Stage from 7:00 to 9:15 p.m., followed by a fireworks display that will light up the sky at 9:15 p.m. The Village of Baytowne Wharf will also host kids’ activities, including crafts, face painting, and balloon sculpting. 4th of July Celebration

Let freedom ring with this THREE-DAY event! Beginning Saturday, July 2, through July 4, HarborWalk Village will have tons of bands performing all weekend and a fireworks show on July 4. The event begins Saturday, July 2, with 18 Miles Band at 7:00 p.m. The following night, July 3, will host Cadillac Willy Duo at 7:00 p.m. Finally, July 4 will have the Manly Here at 7:00 p.m. and Silent Disco at the Compass Rose at 7:00 p.m., then the night will end with fireworks and fire spinning by Autumn Lyfe at 9:00 p.m. Learn more about the event on Facebook: https://fb.me/e/26q24SNTC.

Smoke on the Coast BBQ and Fireworks Festival

This is the 11th annual Smoke on the Coast BBQ and Fireworks Festival, presented by PRESTO! at the Magic Parlor. The event takes place at the Destin Commons and will begin at 5:00 p.m. with family entertainment and live music. Then at 5:30 p.m., $1 BBQ sampling from area restaurants will begin. Following the sampling, there will be voting for the favorite. This will be a jam-packed event with bands; tons of fun family activities; and, of course, a fireworks extravaganza! Rosemary Beach Fourth of July Celebration

The morning will begin with a bike decorating contest and breakfast at 7:30 a.m., followed by a bike parade through the town center at 8:30 a.m. The fun will continue with an old-fashioned family field day at the Western Green. The day will cool down at 6:00 p.m. with live music by The Like Total Hep Cats on the Western Green. South Walton Fourth of July Parade

The annual South Walton Fourth of July Parade will be at 8:00 a.m. on July 4 in front of the Seagrove Plaza. Participants will march 1.5 miles down from the Seagrove decked out in their patriotic costumes and riding elaborate holiday floats. The parade will stop at the seaside, where a panel of judges will select the winners from their parade entries. You do not want to miss this festive parade.

Fourth of July Sunset and Fireworks Dinner Cruise

Sail away on the Solaris Yacht for a three-and-a-half-hour Fourth of July extravaganza! Enjoy fine dining, entertainment, and a beautiful sunset.
