Are you dreaming of a White Christmas? Destin might look a little different from Bing Crosby’s version but we can promise a white Christmas (with white sand, that is!). Church Services are offered throughout the area! Do not skip out on this holiday must, here are some locations that offer beautiful services. Visit, Village Baptist Church, Destiny Worship Center, Shoreline Church, and Grace Destin Church.
Don’t forget to visit the big guy from up North! That’s right, Santa Clause! Destin offers several ways to see Santa and get a photo. All throughout December, you can find Santa for the traditional photo and there are some locations that offer breakfast with Santa. These locations include, Henderson, Emerald Grande at HarborWalk Village, Uncle Bucks Fishbowl, AJs, and others. Grand Boulevard and the Village of Baytowne Wharf are just a couple of places that host visits and photos with Santa.
Believe it or not, you can go ice skating in Destin. Each year, the Village of Baytowne Wharf host Baytowne on ice. The rink in Community Broadcasters Skating Pavilion is open to the whole public, no appointments needed. Hit the ice for some fun, holiday memories!
If holiday shows are a tradition for you, we have some good news! Destin offers a variety of performances for everyone to enjoy. Organization such as, the Emerald Coast Theatre Company, Seaside REP Theatre, and the Mattie Kelly Arts Center put on fantastic seasonal performances for the public. At the Emerald Coast Theatre, Miracle on 34th street is showing until Dec. 19th. Additionally, the Seaside REP Theatre is showing Every Christmas Story Ever Told through Dec.23rd.
Last but certainly not least, let’s not forget about the Christmas meal. If you are still trying to figure out your holiday dinner plans, we have something tasty for all of you! Destin is home to a variety of delicious restaurants. Some of our Destin restaurants will offer fancy dine-in dinners and other places offer meals to-go. A few of the places we recommend are, Harry T’s Lighthouse Restaurant, Margaritaville, The Boathouse Oyster Bar, Grande Vista Bar and Grill, and the Marlin Grill.
