Miya Hanselman Realtor Spotlight

In light of the partnership, we have a monthly realtor spotlight. This month, we are excited to introduce you to Miya Hanselman! Miya grew up an army brat in Warner Robins, GA -- she also spent parts of her life in Ramstein, Germany. However, after traveling to Destin quite a few times, Miya knew she was meant to live on the beach. Miya and her husband moved to Destin 4 years ago and since then they have started a family. During their time here they have welcomed a baby girl, Sunny. Also known as, their “sunshine Florida baby!” Miya and her family also have a French Bulldog named, Ozzy. Miya’s biggest motivator is her family. 

Miya is a military spouse and sometimes her husband is deployed. During these times when her husband has to leave; she is motivated to provide for her family. However, her passion for real estate comes from helping not only her family, but also others. Miya explained that she “loves serving others.” She continued, “ That’s what realtors do; we serve our clients, our buyers, sellers, team, lenders, everyone! I truly enjoy helping and being a part of such a huge decision in people’s lives.” 

Miya is new to the real estate game but don’t let that fool you! Her drive and hunger to help others is what set her aside. She understands the market and is educated on the area. Miya elaborated, “this area is supposed to be shared and enjoyed by others. That is my goal.” We also asked, “why should others invest in Destin?” She explained, “There is great revenue in owning real estate down here. Everybody wants to live the 24/7 vacation life.” She also added that the demand to live in Destin is high right now. The area is popular-- you will find some of the best restaurants, stunning white sand beaches, and the freshest seafood around. The list is endless!

Miya’s favorite part about Destin is obvious, the beautiful beaches! She also enjoys the delicious restaurants and the people. She added, “everyone is just happy because we live in paradise!” During her spare time she take advantage of each and everyday in the Emerald Coast. By doing this she enjoys going to the beach with family or friends. Miya is also a big sports girl and loves to watch her UGA Bulldogs or ATL Braves. Above everything else, quality time with family beats it all!

The last question we asked Miya was, “what is your favorite part of your job?” She said, “serving others is what makes me the happiest.” She also explained that when the job is done, seeing the happy faces on clients is the biggest reward. Miya is looking forward to the new partnership with DestinFlorida.com. She is eager to meet new people and provide clients with her knowledge to reach their goals.
