Walton County Board of County Commissioners unanimously decided to open county beaches May 1, 2020 until May 12, 2020. The beaches would be open 24/7 with the following restrictions:
No vending including beach chairs.
Must use social distancing measures.
No more than 10 people per group.
Limited activities: walking, jogging, fishing, sunbathing, surfing, swimming. paddle boards and canoes.
The decision to extend or augment todays resolution would be revisited during the next commissioners meeting. Opening county parks will also be addressed during the next meeting.
